The Blue Reform became a member of the Alliance of Conservatives and Reformists in Europe (ACRE) in its Council meeting in Yerevan, Armenia last week. MP Anne Louhelainen represented the Blue Reform in the meeting. Representatives of the Blue Reform had been involved in the cooperation even before and they rejoiced that the newly established party was warmly welcomed to continue its cooperation with the ACRE political family.
ACRE is an alliance of 30 different centre-right parties from Europe. It has 74 MEPs in the ECR-group of the European Parliament and nine different regional partner parties. The British Conservatives and the US Republican Party are, for example, affiliated with the ACRE.
The ACRE membership now becomes a major part of the Blue Reform’s international cooperation at the party level. International cooperation enables Blue Reform to form alliances and connections with partners abroad that will help to enhance Finland’s international standing.
